Dougie MacLeod is Managing Director of Erisort Risk Management.

With over 20 years experience in Emergency Response , Crisis Management and Business Continuity, Dougie brings with him a wide range of experiences and talents. 

 

He has been involved in the development and delivery of a range of emergency response and business continuity solutions, including OPITO approved Emergency Response Training around the world in regions as diverse as Singapore, Azerbaijan and Trinidad & Tobago.

Most recently Dougie has been working with clients in the UK, West Africa, and Middle East on developing their Emergency Response competencies.

 

Dougie’s interest in emergency response, crisis management and dealing with the unexpected was cemented by his service in the Royal Navy specialising in Electronic Warfare and Maritime Security. 

​

Looking for a fresh challenge, Dougie then joined HM Coastguard in the UK and worked at the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre in Aberdeen.  As well as responsibility for general Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination the centre was also responsible for coordinating Oil and Gas Emergencies within the UK Oil and Gas Sector.  This allowed Dougie to gain a huge amount of experience in dealing with duty holders and operators.

In 2008 he made the leap to use his skills in industry, firstly in the UK and then globally including Singapore, Azerbaijan, Georgia and the Caribbean.

In 2017 Dougie established Erisort Training Services (now known as Erisort Risk Management), with a mission to help organisations improve their organisational resilience.
